You can definitely hear the blower as it is on the whole time the castle is inflated. Though we have never had any complaints and with common party background noise (talking, music) you don't normally hear it.
Our blowers produce a similar noise to a hair dryer. Since it is also behind the castle this lowers the noise output as well.
Obviously this can vary depending on the size of the space and if it is enclosed or outdoors.
